Oracle Cloud Overview¶
This section documents the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Always Free environment.
Purpose¶
Oracle Cloud Free Tier provides permanent always-free resources used for:
- Lightweight compute (relay nodes, reverse proxies)
- Cross-cloud networking (Oracle ↔ Azure ↔ Homelab)
- Offsite monitoring relay
- Tailscale exit node
Always Free Resources in Use¶

Tip
The A1 Ampere instance (ARM64) is the best deal in the free tier — 4 OCPU and 24 GB RAM at no cost.
