Michael Roehr — Infrastructure Documentation¶
Welcome to the infrastructure docs portal. This site covers the homelab, Azure, and Oracle Cloud environments — including architecture, runbooks, operational procedures, and consulting templates.
What's in Here¶
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Homelab | Hardware inventory, Docker stacks, networking, and monitoring |
| Azure | Resource groups, hybrid networking, IAM, and cost governance |
| Oracle Cloud | Free tier setup, instance hardening, and cross-cloud networking |
| Runbooks | Step-by-step procedures for common operational tasks |
| Templates | Consulting templates: intake forms, scope confirmations, change orders, handoff checklists |
Principles¶
- Document as you go. Don't wait until the lab is "finished" — it never is.
- Write for your future self. If you'd forget it in 6 months, write it down now.
- Runbooks over memory. If a procedure lives only in your head, it will fail at 2 AM.
- Governance before growth. Don't add services you can't document and monitor.
